Book the call

There's a new employee showing up at companies that nobody hired.

An AI agent, doing its research. It reads a company as it actually is: the year-old job listing, the retired product page, the forum thread. It forms an answer, cites it, and hands that answer to whoever asks next.

Velocity Partners prepares your business for the agentic web.

The shift

read once, quoted forever

The first read on a company now happens inside a chat window. A buyer asks an agent, and the agent reads, weighs, and summarizes the company in a paragraph the company never wrote.

The only decision left is whether it's built. What a company publishes in a form agents can read, agents quote. What a company leaves scattered, agents fill from whatever they found.

Your business already has an answer in the machine.

Sites are becoming data and action endpoints that agents read and act on, not just rendered pages for people. The pieces of readiness are cheap insurance today. Being late to them is where the bill lands.

One set of facts serves two readers: people on your team, and agents asking questions. Without the layer, the agent answers from whatever the open web happened to contain. What breaks without it

the answer travels

When an agent answers a question about a business wrongly, nobody inside that business knows it happened. The wrong answer isn't a typo with a source. Its source is whatever the open web happened to contain, and the answer travels: into a buyer's first brief, a candidate's decision, the next agent's retrieval.

It doesn't stay outside either. Companies stand up assistants that answer off the open internet, and inside the walls a confident wrong answer outruns the true one, because the true one lives in a Slack thread and a departing person's memory.

The gap isn't messaging. It's structure: the company's facts in one place that people use and agents can query, sourced, with a person responsible for keeping it true.

That structure is the thing I build.

One offer

three moves, then the seat

Your business, prepared for the agentic web. One engagement, three moves, and I front it as the executive.

  1. 01

    First, the read.

Two to three weeks assessing where your business stands for agentic work. A product-and-decisions read, not a tool inventory: how the business fits the agentic future, what to build, what to refuse, where the plan has holes. It ends as a playbook you could act on without one more invoice from me.

    two to three weeks
    playbook you own
  2. 02

    Then, the KB.

Your company knowledge base, built as the single source of truth for AI: structured so your people can use it and agents can query it. With it, the agent-facing surfaces: llms.txt, schema.org markup, an MCP endpoint when your agent traffic earns it. And the bots that answer out of the KB with sources cited, instead of a model's next guess.

    one source
    people + agents
  3. 03

    And, the enablement.

Your people trained to keep the knowledge base true and to work with it in their own day. Certified instruction when the team wants the credential in its file.

    trained team
    the KB stays true
  4. 04

Then, the seat, if you want it.

When direction should stay rather than arrive once, I take the fractional seat: a product and AI executive inside your leadership team. I cap it at two at a time, because a fractional executive seat stops being real past that.

Running before selling

measured 2026-10-26

mikejones.online is live with this pattern right now. Point an agent (or yourself) at its/llms.txt, or ask the open endpoint/agents/query; answers come from my public fact sheets with their sources cited.

Distills.app, my product, runs the pattern productized: an AI interview builds a company's knowledge base, and the outputs answer for people and agents.

I don't sell anything that isn't already running on my own domain.
